Annual General Meetings

We strongly encourage each sports team to run a large open meeting for every one of their members to voice their thoughts. In this meeting, you should:

  1. Summarise the positive and critical points from the last academic year

  2. Give an overview of finances

  3. Explain the roles up for election, and give candidates 2 minutes (and no more) to explain why they are the most suitable person for the position.

  4. All questions and comments from members

Below is a sample agenda, we encourage you to us this as a starting point for yours.

Welcome attendees and introduce committee members

Overview of the past year. You should cover your activity in the last year, publicity gained, number of members and participants in activities, success points, improvement points.

Financial report - the President should present money gained/spent throughout the year, with an overview of how it was raised. This should also cover the funds which will be carried into the next year
